Over ten years ago, a group of medical researchers decided that something serious had to be done to prevent noise induced hearing loss. Their dream converged with that of one man, Nick Laperle, influenced by his parents’ life-long dedication to treating people with hearing loss, and by witnessing firsthand the debilitating effects of what he refers to as “the loneliness of presence.”

The dream turned into a reality when Nick and co-founder Adam Schwartz introduced the world to the first on-site, custom fitted, hearing protector. Along with a global team of implementers, Sonomax has fit over 100,000 workers.
